Downloading Exness — the figures an installed terminal produces — Pakistan

An install is a decision about which numbers appear beside the order instead of being produced somewhere else.

100+ instruments  ·  Founded 2008

An installed terminal is where a figure stops being a lookup and becomes a field on the screen: the contract specification of the instrument, the margin the entered volume requires, the running result of open positions, and the value of one price step, each in the account currency. What can be established without installing anything is the list of instruments, the cost structure of an account type, and the arithmetic of margin.

Notes for each surface

What appears only after the install

The choice is not between devices but between arithmetic that sits beside the order and arithmetic produced somewhere else. An installed terminal keeps the contract specification, the required margin for the volume being entered, the free margin that would remain and the running result of open positions on one screen, all in the account currency. A browser session reaches the same account and leaves the reusable part of that arithmetic to be produced again each time. Google Play and the App Store are the official app sources; an APK from a third-party site such as apkpure is not recommended for a financial app.

Figures the installed terminal produces by itself

The contract specification of a symbol — contract size, the smallest volume, the step between volumes, the number of digits in the price — is read in the terminal rather than assembled from a page. Every later calculation starts there.

The order window is the second source. While the volume field is being edited it returns the margin that volume would require and the free margin that would remain, and it recomputes both as the figure changes. That is the practical reason volume decisions happen there.

Once positions exist, the running result and the margin level become live readings in the account currency: they follow every tick, and no page can reproduce them from outside.

Figures available without installing anything

Which instruments an account type can open, and the cost structure applied to them, are published and stable. So is the arithmetic of margin: the contract size multiplied by the volume, divided by the leverage.

That arithmetic is also done for you on this site — the trading calculator and the lot size calculator take the same inputs, and live spreads publishes readings taken from the broker’s own feed.

So what does the install actually decide

It decides where the arithmetic happens: beside the order, recalculated as the volume changes, or in a second place and then carried back. For a routine of a few planned positions the second place is enough. For a routine where the volume is chosen against free margin at the moment of sending, it is not.

Nothing about the account, its type or its history depends on that choice — those belong to the account number, and the install changes only which figures are within reach while an order is being written.

Deciding whether an install is needed for your routine

  1. List the figures your routine actually consumes before sending an order: volume, required margin, distance to the intended level, cost of a round turn.
  2. Mark which of them you can produce in advance from published values and arithmetic.
  3. Mark which of them depend on the state of the account at that moment — free margin, margin level, the running result.
  4. If the second list is empty, the arithmetic can live outside the platform entirely.
  5. If it is not, the figures on it exist only in a terminal signed in to the account, and an install is what puts them beside the order.

The list, not the device, is what decides. Two traders on the same machine can honestly reach opposite answers.

Frequently asked questions

Which figures can only be seen in an installed terminal?
The ones that describe the account as it changes: free margin, margin level and the running result of open positions, together with the required margin for an order while it is being entered.
Can required margin be worked out without installing anything?
Yes. It is the contract size multiplied by the volume and divided by the leverage on the account, and the trading calculator on this site performs the same steps.
Which figures does the order window compute while the volume is being typed?
The margin the entered volume would require and the free margin that would remain. Both are recalculated as the volume changes.
Where does the value of one price step come from?
From the contract specification of the instrument and the volume entered, expressed in the account currency. An installed terminal shows it once the order is set up.
Is anything lost by producing the arithmetic elsewhere?
Only immediacy. A figure computed in advance is as correct as one computed on the order screen; it simply cannot follow free margin while the market moves.
